The parachute version of the classic dry fly pattern. The Parachute Adams is extremely effective fished as an emerger prior to a wide variety of mayfly hatches. Many authors refer to this fly as "the most effective emerger" available. Its a great dry fly whether fished as an emerger or a dun.
In addition to the standard brown and grizzly mixed hackle, I also have a Cree version which is available in limited quanities. Compared with the standard Adams colors, the Cree is a little grayer in color. It is a very unusual fly as Cree necks are rather rare. Whether standard or Cree, the Parachute Adams is an essential for every dry fly box. Tied on a Daiichi 1190 (TMC 100) barbless, or a Daiichi 1180 barbed, chemically sharpened dry fly hook.
