I developed this pattern in the mid 1990's for western Michigan steelhead. It is effective anytime large stonefly nymphs are active. This nymph is also very good for trout whether dead drifted or tied as a trailer behind a large streamer. Also available in a
bead head version. Tied on a Daiichi 1730 bent long shank heavy wire nymph hook.
