The Mickey Finn is a classic streamer pattern that produces well on all species of fish. I tie these a little sparser than the foreign tiers as I’ve found the sparser tie is far more effective. Try an active downstream retrieve as well as the classic streamer approach. The Mickey Finn is a very good pattern for beginners and children as it works well under all conditions. Tied on Tiemco 300, or Daiichi 2340, chemically sharpened streamer hooks.
