The Ripple Crush Egg fly is a McFly foam egg with an egg yarn veil and an estaz tag. This pattern is used on the Muskegeon River in West Michigan by renowned steelhead guide Matt Supinski (see “Fly Fisherman”, December, 2007, p 30). It is a great pattern for large or stained waters. Tied on a Daiichi X-Point (X510) heavy wire egg hook with Kevlar thread for increased durability. The different colors are listed from the front of the hook (the veil) to the rear of the hook (the estaz tag).
