This variation on the Chernobyl Ant is very effective on trout during the summer months when the mayfly hatches are thin and the hoppers are out in force. A dead drift with a twitch every five feet often brings ferocious strikes from otherwise wary trout. This is a great dry fly to use over a nymph dropper. Like the regular version of the Chernobyl Ant this is also a great fly for panfish. Tied on a Daiichi 1720 barbed, or a Tiemco 5263BL barbless, 3x long chemically sharpened hook.
