Brown Drake Cripple

The Brown Drake, or emphemera simulans, is a large mayfly that is widely distributed across the U.S. Hatches occur in June in the Midwest and East, July or later in the West. Comparadun and cripple patterns are effective on rainy or windy days when these large drakes spend more time than usual on the water’s surface.
