Ephemerella subvaria or Dark Hendrickson is one of the season’s first major mayfly hatches. In the Northeast and upper Midwest the hatch usually lasts for 2-3 weeks. This emerger is a great pattern to use during the late morning to mid- afternoon before the duns appear. Please specify barbed or de-barbed hooks when ordering.
